🔸 PHASE TWO GAZA NEGOTIATIONS CONTINUED: Under the reported assurances, Israel would be permitted to continue operating as it currently does if Hamas refuses to disarm or resumes rebuilding its forces.
The Peace Council said the roadmap requires the dismantling of all heavy and light weapons, the destruction of tunnels, weapons depots and production facilities, and the complete removal of Hamas from any governing role, openly or behind the scenes.
The Gaza Administration Committee would hold full authority under the principle of “one authority, one law and one weapon.” Reciprocal steps by each side would enable subsequent stages of implementation.
An Israeli political source said Gaza was not discussed during the meeting between Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and President Trump. The source stressed that Israel requires the removal of all weapons from Gaza and the Strip’s complete demilitarization before any further process.
Israel reportedly considers the proposed 15-point document insufficient and has conveyed its reservations to envoy Tony Blair. Israel maintains that there will be no withdrawal from the yellow line before Hamas is disarmed and Gaza fully demilitarized.
