⚠️ ISRAEL REMAINS ON HIGH DEFENSIVE ALERT AS OPERATIONS CONTINUE AGAINST IRAN AND REGIONAL PROXIES; HOME FRONT GUIDELINES UNCHANGED
⚠️ ISRAEL ENGAGED IN ACTIVE WAR ACROSS MULTIPLE ARENAS; DEFENSIVE READINESS REMAINS HIGH: Military operations continue against Iran and its regional proxies, including Hezbollah in Lebanon and other Iranian-backed forces. Air defense systems remain fully active nationwide while operational activity continues across several fronts.
Authorities state that there is currently no change to Home Front Command instructions for the civilian population. As Shabbat approaches, the public is encouraged to ensure alert systems are properly configured and to follow only official Israeli channels for guidance.
🚀 LONG-RANGE MISSILE WARNING TIMING: Missile launches originating from Yemen or Iran, approximately 1,600 to 2,000 kilometers away, may trigger early alerts several minutes before impact. These alerts can appear before the standard red alert siren.
⏱️ WARNING TIME DIFFERENCES: Short-range rocket fire from Gaza or Lebanon typically provides about 15 seconds to 1.5 minutes to reach shelter. Long-range missile threats may generate earlier system notifications before the usual siren, creating a pikuach nefesh requirement to receive alerts even during Shabbat.
📻 SHABBAT-APPROVED SILENT BROADCASTS: Radio and television stations switch to silent broadcast mode during Shabbat and activate only for emergency alerts and official instructions, including guidance such as whether to remain indoors. If a radio or TV is not available, these broadcasts can also be accessed through live streams on a phone or computer.
It is recommended to use both a silent radio or TV source together with an alert app or website.

📺 SILENT TV OPTION: Channel 14 provides silent emergency broadcasts with a live stream available and Android and iPhone apps. Ad blockers must be disabled for alerts to function properly. There is currently no officially designated silent English-language broadcast channel.
📱 HOME FRONT COMMAND APP — SHABBAT AND HOLIDAY MODE (some phone don't work): The Home Front Command app includes a dedicated “Shabbat and Holiday Mode,” which should be activated before Shabbat. When enabled, the screen remains active so alerts and official instructions can be viewed without touching the device.
This mode allows users to see alert zones, time to reach a protected space, and updated guidance according to location.
To activate: Open the Home Front Command app → Settings → Alert Modes → Turn on “Shabbat and Holiday Mode.”
🔋 PREPARATION GUIDANCE: Fully charge your phone before Shabbat and ensure all alert methods, including the Home Front Command app and silent broadcasts, are set up and tested in advance.
⚠️ BOTTOM LINE: Due to immediate risk to life, monitoring alerts on Shabbat is permitted and required. Prepare in advance and stay safe.
