⚔️ HEAVY FIGHTING IN SOUTHERN LEBANON: Heavy fighting erupted in southern Lebanon as Hezbollah forces engaged an advancing IDF armored and infantry column near Kfar Tebnit and the Ali Taher heights amid intensive Israeli airstrikes across the Nabatiyeh district.
Hezbollah claimed its fighters lured an IDF force into a pre-prepared "killing zone" near the Ali Taher heights, using guided missiles and artillery against Israeli forces. The group claimed three Merkava tanks were destroyed.
Hezbollah also claimed a secondary ambush targeted an Israeli recovery force sent "to retrieve casualties" under heavy smoke cover.
Israeli media confirmed a severe security incident in southern Lebanon that remains under military censorship. Reports stated that an IDF tank struck an "unusual" explosive device while a guided missile attack disabled two vehicles, requiring helicopter evacuation of wounded soldiers.
Heavy overnight combat across southern Lebanon reportedly inflicted significant casualties on both sides.
Israeli ground forces reportedly renewed operations in the Nabatiyeh sector this morning.
✈️ IDF STRIKES ACROSS SOUTHERN LEBANON AND THE BEQAA VALLEY: The Israeli Air Force launched extensive overnight and pre-dawn strikes across southern Lebanon, heavily targeting the area between the Litani and Zahrani rivers.
Strikes focused on Kfar Tebnit, Mount Ali Taher, and additional locations throughout the Nabatiyeh district. Heavy destruction was reported in Adshit near the Beaufort Castle area.
The IDF said it initiated retaliatory strikes across southern Lebanon and the Beqaa Valley due to Hezbollah’s "repeated violations of the ceasefire" and "continued attempts to execute terror attacks against Israeli personnel."
According to Lebanese and local sources, Israeli strikes targeted more than 20 villages across southern Lebanon and the Beqaa Valley.
Civil Defense officials told Al Jazeera that an Israeli pre-dawn strike in Harouf eliminated 8 terrorists.
Lebanese media reported strikes in Nabatieh al-Fawqa, Kfar Tebnit, Ad-Doueir, the Bekaa Valley, and along the Deir Al-Zahrani highway.
Israeli media reported the elimination of at least "15 terrorists."
The Lebanese Ministry of Health reported that Israeli airstrikes eliminated 18 terrorists and wounded 33 others.
⚠️ CIVILIAN IMPACT AND DISPLACEMENT: Lebanese reports stated that multiple residential structures were struck in Harouf, Kfarsir, Al-Sharqiyah, Kafr Jouz, Dweir, and other locations.
Lebanese sources reported numerous civilian casualties, missing persons under rubble, and renewed displacement, with hundreds of families from the Nabatiyeh region reportedly returning to evacuation shelters they had only recently left on the first day of the ceasefire.
