⚔️ ISRAEL, IRAN, AND GULF STATES CONTINUE MULTI-ARENA SECURITY COORDINATION AND MILITARY PREPARATIONS
🛡️ IDF Operations in Judea and Samaria: IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir conducted an operational tour and situational assessment in northern Samaria together with senior Central Command and Civil Administration officials. Commanders presented the operational picture, and Zamir met with battalion commanders and troops participating in ongoing counterterrorism activity.
Zamir stated that the IDF has “created a new security reality across all arenas,” referring to operations in Lebanon, Gaza, and Judea and Samaria. He said the military continues proactive offensive operations daily and described the current operational doctrine as “no containment — only initiative.”
🎯 Readiness Across Multiple Fronts: According to Zamir, operations in northern Samaria remain ongoing while the IDF continues maintaining readiness for renewed fighting if necessary. He said forces remain prepared “from Judea and Samaria to Tehran.”
He also noted that brigade units transitioned directly from operations in Lebanon to deployments in Judea and Samaria within a matter of weeks, reflecting continued operational pressure across multiple sectors.
🌍 Iran-U.S. Negotiation Conditions: A source cited by Fars News Agency stated that Iran will not enter a second round of talks with the United States unless several conditions are met. These reportedly include lifting sanctions, releasing frozen Iranian assets, compensating war damages, ending regional wars, and recognizing Iranian control over the Strait of Hormuz.
President Donald Trump stated that pressure on Iran would continue, saying Iran “cannot have a nuclear weapon” and asserting that current measures are restricting Tehran’s access to major financial resources.
🚀 Regional Military and Intelligence Activity: The New York Times reported that U.S. intelligence assessments indicate Iran has restored operational access to roughly 70% of its missile launchers, launch sites, and underground facilities. The report said the assessment differs from earlier Trump administration statements regarding the extent of damage to Iranian military infrastructure.
The Prime Minister’s Office confirmed that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu secretly visited the UAE during Operation Roaring Lion and met UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed. The PMO described the visit as producing a “historic breakthrough” in bilateral relations.
🛰️ Covert Gulf Coordination Against Iran: The Wall Street Journal reported that Mossad chief David Barnea conducted multiple covert visits to the UAE during the conflict to coordinate operational activity. According to the report, the UAE participated in strikes against Iranian targets and hosted Israeli Iron Dome systems and personnel during Iranian attacks.
Reuters separately reported covert Saudi airstrikes on Iran in late March, alongside Saudi and Kuwaiti strikes targeting Iran-backed militia infrastructure in Iraq.
⚠️ IRGC Infiltration Attempt in Kuwait: Kuwait’s Interior Ministry announced that four individuals arrested during a maritime infiltration attempt confessed to belonging to the IRGC and said they had been tasked with carrying out attacks inside Kuwait.
Authorities identified the detainees as senior IRGC naval officers and stated that the group attempted to infiltrate Bubiyan Island aboard a chartered fishing vessel earlier this month. Kuwaiti forces intercepted the group during a clash that left one serviceman injured, while two additional suspects remain at large.
🛡️ Israeli Civil Defense Posture: Following a situational assessment, Israel’s Home Front Command announced that existing defensive guidelines remain unchanged and will remain in effect through May 17 at 20:00.
