⚔️ Lebanon Operations: The IDF stated that operations south of the Forward Defense Line continue with the objective of dismantling Hezbollah infrastructure and removing threats to Israeli civilians. Since the beginning of the operation, more than 400 terrorists — including Radwan Force operatives — have been eliminated, while over 1,000 Hezbollah weapons have been located.
Shahaf Unit forces reportedly carried out rapid precision operations that eliminated more than 120 terrorists and dismantled dozens of Hezbollah infrastructure sites, including headquarters facilities. Over the past 24 hours, the Israeli Air Force struck more than 40 Hezbollah targets across southern Lebanon, including weapons depots, military structures, and loaded launchers aimed at Israeli territory and IDF positions.
🎯 Targeted Operations Against Hezbollah: IDF troops operating south of the Forward Defense Line identified a Hezbollah operative conducting surveillance against Israeli forces. The operative was eliminated by tank fire during a targeted operation.
The military also reported additional strikes against Hezbollah operatives assessed as immediate threats to forces operating in southern Lebanon. Footage released by the IDF showed attacks on ready-to-fire launchers, the elimination of a Hezbollah operative, and the dismantling of infrastructure sites.
⚠️ Hezbollah Attacks on IDF Forces: Hezbollah launched rockets and explosive drones toward areas where IDF troops are operating in southern Lebanon. Some rockets were intercepted, while others fell adjacent to Israeli forces or in open areas. No injuries were reported.
Additional suspicious aerial targets were intercepted near operational areas in southern Lebanon, including some interceptions carried out without sirens in accordance with protocol. Earlier warnings in the Avivim area were later determined to be a false identification.
🇺🇳 UNIFIL Reports Drone Incidents: UNIFIL stated that several presumed Hezbollah drones targeted its Naqoura headquarters in recent days. According to the force, multiple drones exploded in or near the compound, causing structural damage without injuries.
UNIFIL also reported that a drone which crashed at the headquarters earlier this week was unarmed and was preliminarily assessed to be of Iranian manufacture. Separately, an armed fiber optic-guided drone crashed through the roof of a UN position near al-Hanniye on May 5 but did not detonate.
🎯 Gaza Operations: The IDF and Shin Bet announced the elimination of Hamza Sharabasi, identified as a Hamas Nukhba terrorist and commander in Hamas’ Shejaiya Battalion. According to the military, Sharabasi infiltrated Israeli territory during the October 7 massacre and participated in the attack on the Nahal Oz Outpost, where soldiers were killed and kidnapped.
The IDF stated that Sharabasi had recently operated near the Yellow Line and was involved in advancing attacks against Israeli forces in Gaza. The same strike also eliminated Azzam al-Hayya, another Hamas Nukhba operative who recently held a senior role within the organization.
⚠️ Jiljilyya Incident: Israeli forces entered the Jiljilyya area following reports that Israeli civilians had entered the area after livestock was stolen from an illegal outpost in Area A. Security forces worked to recover the livestock, prevent confrontations, and escort civilians out of the area.
Several suspects connected to the theft were arrested and transferred to police custody. As forces departed, a violent riot involving stone-throwing developed. The IDF stated that troops used riot dispersal measures and live fire against primary instigators. The military said it is aware of reports of injuries and one fatality, and that the incident remains under review.
