🚀 HEZBOLLAH FIRE TOWARD IDF FORCES: Over recent hours, the Israeli Air Force intercepted multiple projectiles and suspicious aerial targets launched toward areas where IDF troops are operating in southern Lebanon. Hezbollah also deployed explosive drones near Israeli forces, though the military reported no injuries and said sirens were not activated in accordance with existing protocol.
❌ HEZBOLLAH TUNNEL AND COMMAND INFRASTRUCTURE DESTROYED: IDF troops destroyed a 30-meter Hezbollah tunnel in the Labbouneh area within the Israeli-held security zone in southern Lebanon. Forces also seized weapons from a Hezbollah command center, while the military released footage showing an FPV drone strike against a Hezbollah operative attempting to flee on a motorcycle.
🛡️ IDF ADAPTS TO THE FPV DRONE THREAT: The Ground Forces command appointed a senior officer to oversee expanded efforts against Hezbollah’s fiber-optic guided FPV drones, which are difficult to jam or detect electronically. The IDF has deployed passive protective systems, adapted radar platforms for low-altitude drone detection, and is testing additional interception and defense technologies together with international partners.
🛰️ UAV AND WEAPONS SITES TARGETED IN SOUTHERN LEBANON: Israeli strikes targeted Hezbollah weapons production infrastructure and military-use facilities in the Nabatieh area. Overnight operations also focused on UAV launch positions, drone-related infrastructure used against IDF forces, weapons depots, and a Hezbollah weapons transport vehicle.
❌ DRONE WEAPONS SMUGGLING ATTEMPT FOILED: IDF surveillance units identified a drone crossing into Israeli territory from the east carrying weapons. Troops from the Yoav Brigade intercepted the drone and recovered 11 handguns, which were transferred to security authorities for further investigation.
⚠️ FALSE INFILTRATION ALERT IN METZAD: A suspected infiltration alert in the Judea and Samaria community of Metzad led to searches and additional troop deployments overnight. The incident was later determined to involve an Israeli civilian driving with an improvised hand-drawn license plate after the original plate detached from the vehicle, and the military subsequently issued an all-clear.
