🚫 IRAN REJECTS U.S. PROPOSAL AS NETANYAHU HOLDS URGENT SECURITY TALKS AND U.S.-ALLIED NAVAL PRESSURE BUILDS IN THE REGION

⚠️ Iran’s official media announced that Tehran has rejected the U.S. proposal, describing it as “surrendering to Trump’s excessive demands.” According to Tasnim News, Iran’s response demanded an immediate end to the war on all fronts, guarantees against future attacks on Iran, the lifting of all sanctions including restrictions on oil exports, an end to the U.S. naval blockade, the release of frozen Iranian assets, and Iran’s right to “manage” the Strait of Hormuz.

❗️ President Trump rejected Iran’s response publicly. He stated: “I have just read the response from Iran’s so-called “Representatives.” I don’t like it — TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE!”

⚠️ An Iranian source told Tasnim News Agency: “We just saw the reaction of the so-called president of the US to Iran's response. It has no importance; No one in Iran writes proposals to please Trump. The negotiating team should draft proposals only for the rights of the Iranian people, and when Trump is dissatisfied with them, naturally that is better".

📺 Iranian state television, IRIB, later confirmed that Iran had rejected the American proposal, describing it as an attempt to force Iran into surrender. The latest statements mark a shift from efforts to modify an existing framework to open rejection by both sides.

🇮🇱 Prime Minister Netanyahu ended his testimony earlier in order to hold a security discussion later in the day. He is expected to convene an urgent meeting with the heads of Israel’s security services following Iran’s response to President Trump’s proposal.

🚢 The French aircraft carrier Charles de Gaulle was spotted in the Red Sea on May 8 after crossing the Suez Canal. The carrier is heading toward the region as part of a French-UK effort to restore maritime transit through the Strait of Hormuz.

⚓️ U.S. Central Command published images showing USS John Finn (DDG 113) sailing behind USS Milius (DDG 69), USNS Carl Brashear (T-AKE-7), and USS George H.W. Bush (CVN 77) in the Arabian Sea. CENTCOM stated that more than 20 U.S. warships are enforcing the blockade against Iran, and that its forces redirected 61 commercial vessels and disabled four to ensure compliance.

☢️ Former Israeli minister Prof. Yuval Steinitz said that before the war, Iran was only months away from being able to produce a nuclear bomb, but after Israeli and American strikes, Tehran is now years away from rebuilding its nuclear capabilities. According to Steinitz, Israel destroyed major enrichment facilities, weaponization infrastructure, conversion plants, and eliminated key nuclear scientists involved in bomb development. He said the objective of the war was stopping Iran’s nuclear program, not regime change.

❗️ South Korea’s presidency condemned the attack on a Korean cargo ship and stated: “We strongly condemn the attack on a Korean cargo ship and intend to respond to the aggressor once they have been identified".

🛰️ Prime Minister Netanyahu stated: “China gave a certain amount of support and particular components of missile manufacturing to Iran, and I don't like it".
