⚠️ IRAN FIRES AT AQABA; GAZA BORDER CLOSED; LEBANON ARRESTS SUSPECTED MOSSAD ASSET
🛡️ IRANIAN MISSILES INTERCEPTED OVER AQABA: Iran launched four ballistic missiles toward the southern Jordanian city of Aqaba, adjacent to Israeli territory.
The Jordanian military said three missiles were intercepted and a fourth landed in an open area. American air-defense systems reportedly intercepted missiles during the attack.
The IDF also launched Iron Dome interceptors to destroy fragments that could have threatened Eilat. No sirens sounded in the city, and the fragments were intercepted.
“There may be spillover into Israeli territory as a result of the fire,” the IDF warned before the interceptions, adding that sirens could sound in southern Israel.
Residents were instructed to enter protected spaces and remain there until further notice if sirens sounded. There is currently no change to Home Front Command guidelines.
🛰️ Israeli security officials said there is no indication that Iranian Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei remains inside Iran.
According to Saudi channel Al-Hadath, an Israeli security source said: “Mojtaba Khamenei is not in Iran.”
A separate Israeli security official told Al Arabiya: “There is no indication that Mojtaba Khamenei is in Iran”.
The official also claimed that statements attributed to Khamenei are being written by IRGC Commander Ahmad Vahidi and the IRGC.
🚧 IDF CLOSES AREAS ALONG GAZA BORDER AHEAD OF MASS DEMONSTRATION: The IDF issued a closed military zone order covering parts of the western Negev from Sunday at 8:00 a.m. until Monday at 8:00 a.m.
The closure extends from Yad Mordechai Junction, west of Route 34, to Sha’ar HaNegev Junction, and from Sha’ar HaNegev Junction, west of Route 232, to Kerem Shalom.
Residents and employees will be permitted to enter the affected communities. The IDF said its forces are deployed and prepared in the area. The order was signed by Southern Command chief Maj. Gen. Yaniv Asor.
According to i24NEWS, the closure was imposed ahead of Sunday’s pro-settlement “March of the Thousands,” which advocates reestablishing Israeli communities in the Gaza Strip.
Organizers reportedly said some activists planned to illegally cross the border fence into Gaza.
Several thousand participants are expected, including Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich, National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir, and multiple Likud and right-wing lawmakers. Smotrich recently finalized plans for three new settlements.
🛰️ LEBANON ARRESTS SUSPECT ACCUSED OF PROVIDING HEZBOLLAH INTELLIGENCE TO MOSSAD: Lebanese authorities detained Ali Khalifeh, a member of a prominent southern Lebanese clan, on suspicion of links to Israel’s Mossad intelligence service following surveillance and monitoring of his communications.
Reports said he transmitted sensitive information about Hezbollah during frequent trips to Turkey and Iraq.
The intelligence allegedly contributed to identifying targets that led to the elimination of several Hezbollah officials in 2024, including four senior security figures, among them Fuad Shukr and Ibrahim Aqil.
The investigation remains ongoing. Lebanese authorities have not yet issued a final official statement.
🔸 LEBANESE PRESIDENT BEGINS FOUR-DAY U.S. VISIT: Lebanese President Joseph Aoun and First Lady Nehmat Aoun arrived at Andrews Air Force Base for an official four-day visit.
They were received by U.S. protocol officials and Lebanese Ambassador Nada Hamadeh Maawad, according to the Lebanese Presidency and Al Jadeed.
Aoun is scheduled to meet Secretary of State Marco Rubio on Monday, followed by a White House meeting with President Trump on Tuesday. Additional meetings are planned with members of the U.S. Senate and administration officials.
