🛡️ IDF SAYS HEZBOLLAH CEASEFIRE VIOLATIONS AND CONTINUED ATTACKS REQUIRE ONGOING OPERATIONS IN SOUTHERN LEBANON

🛡️ IDF WARNING ON HEZBOLLAH THREAT: IDF Spokesperson BG Effie Defrin stated that Hezbollah’s continued attacks demonstrate why the IDF remains active in southern Lebanon. He said: “We will continue to remove immediate threats, respond to Hezbollah’s violations, and do whatever is necessary to protect our civilians.”

⚔️ HEZBOLLAH ATTACKS AND CEASEFIRE VIOLATIONS: Defrin said Hezbollah again attacked IDF soldiers operating in southern Lebanon overnight, resulting in the deaths of four Israeli soldiers. He stated that over recent weeks, including last night, Hezbollah has launched hundreds of explosive drones and rockets at Israeli civilians and soldiers. According to Defrin, these attacks constitute repeated violations of the ceasefire and demonstrate that Hezbollah’s objectives remain unchanged.

📍 IDF TO MAINTAIN OPERATIONS IN SOUTHERN LEBANON: Defrin stated that Hezbollah continues seeking to remain along Israel’s border and retain the capability to plan and carry out attacks against Israeli civilians. He said recent events have made clear that “IDF soldiers must stand between Hezbollah and Israeli civilians” and added: “We will not wait for the next attack to reach our homes.” Defrin said the IDF will continue removing immediate threats and responding to violations, emphasizing that its mission remains preventing Hezbollah from rebuilding its capabilities and posing a renewed threat to Israeli civilians.

🛡️ AERIAL ALERT NEAR ZAR'IT: Following sirens warning of a suspected hostile aircraft infiltration in the Zar'it area, two suspicious aerial targets were identified. The incident was later concluded with no unusual findings. No injuries were reported.

🇺🇸 TRUMP, NETANYAHU AND U.S. POLICY QUESTIONS: According to Maariv, Israeli officials are concerned that growing public disagreements between President Trump and Prime Minister Netanyahu could evolve from a war of words into tangible measures, including delayed weapons deliveries, restrictions on military assistance, or steps resembling an arms embargo.

Israeli officials also expect U.S. pressure to increase regarding Israeli withdrawal from southern Lebanon and the Syrian Hermon area.

President Trump dismissed reports of a possible arms embargo, saying he had “never heard” such claims.

Asked whether Hezbollah should disarm under the current agreement, President Trump replied that the group “should disarm.”

Asked whether the United States would defend Israel if it independently struck Iran, President Trump responded:

“absolutely.”

Trump also told Axios:

“I will be able to prevent Israel from attacking Lebanon. They respect me and do what I say.”

🛰️ IRGC ACTIVITY IN THE GULF: Reuters reported that the IRGC established covert cells in Iraq to conduct drone attacks against Gulf states hosting U.S. forces while bypassing established militia networks in an effort to avoid detection.

According to the report, these cells were responsible for seven drone attacks targeting locations in Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and Kuwait between April and May.
