🪖 IDF OFFENSIVE IN SOUTHERN LEBANON: IDF Spokesman Brig. Gen. Effie Defrin says the ground offensive is pushing Hezbollah north and distancing the threat from Israeli communities. He says the Israeli Air Force has struck over 2,500 targets in Lebanon since hostilities escalated amid the war with Iran, and some 900 Hezbollah operatives have been killed.
💥 HEZBOLLAH LAUNCHERS DESTROYED: The IDF says it has destroyed 180 Hezbollah rocket and missile launchers in Lebanon since the start of the fighting amid the war in Iran. During recent operations in southern Lebanon, troops of the Hasmonean Brigade located primed rocket launchers in the village of Ramyeh, which were destroyed a short while later.
🚨 ROCKET FIRE ON NORTHERN ISRAEL: Hezbollah fired more than 20 rockets at northern Israel this evening, according to the IDF, triggering sirens in Haifa, Safed, and other towns across the Galilee. There are no reports of injuries.
The IDF Spokesperson stated there was no prior intelligence indicating Hezbollah’s heavy rocket fire ahead of the attack.
⚔️ ISRAEL SETS CONDITIONS AND MILITARY OBJECTIVES IN LEBANON: Netanyahu says Israel is working to prevent any Lebanon ceasefire from being tied to a possible ceasefire with Iran.
Netanyahu: "We are working to ensure that a ceasefire is not imposed on us in Lebanon in the event of reaching a ceasefire with Iran. The ceasefire in Lebanon should be an independent decision by Israel".
Smotrich: “We must ensure this war ends with the Litani River becoming Israel’s new security border.”
Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz says the IDF will remain in a security zone inside Lebanon up to the Litani River, including the remaining Litani bridges.
Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz: "At the end of the operation, the IDF will position itself in a security zone inside Lebanon — along the defensive line against anti-tank missiles — and will maintain security control over the entire area up to the Litani River, including the remaining Litani bridges. We are determined to separate Lebanon from the Iranian arena — and to change the situation in Lebanon once and for all".
🇪🇺 EUROPE CALLS FOR DIRECT ISRAEL-LEBANON TALKS: European countries and the EU High Representative: “We call for direct negotiations between Lebanon and Israel to end the conflict.”
