⚠️ IDF RULES OUT SUSPECTED KIDNAPPING NEAR JERUSALEM AS TROOPS CONTINUE UNCOVERING HEZBOLLAH WEAPONS IN SOUTHERN LEBANON
❗️ IDF RULES OUT SUSPECTED SECURITY INCIDENT AFTER SEARCHES NEAR JERUSALEM: Israeli security forces launched extensive searches early this morning after receiving reports that several Israeli civilians had lost contact in the Arab village of Mukhmas in Judea and Samaria, north of Jerusalem.
At approximately 4:00 a.m., the military received a report from the civilians that they "felt threatened," before contact was lost. A damaged vehicle with Israeli license plates containing personal belongings was later found outside the village, prompting the IDF to declare a suspected security incident, including concerns of a possible kidnapping.
Large numbers of IDF, Israel Security Agency (Shin Bet), and Israel Police personnel were deployed, supported by an Israeli Air Force helicopter. The IDF encircled the village, blocked nearby roads, and conducted extensive searches.
At approximately 6:40 a.m., one of the civilians contacted the military and reported that the group had left the village. Troops continued scanning the area to rule out any additional security threat.
Following the searches and a joint multi-agency intelligence effort, the IDF confirmed that all of the civilians had been located and that "all of the civilians were located, and the concern of a security incident was ruled out."
According to reports, the group of approximately 10 Hasidic Jews had allegedly fled into Mukhmas while attempting to evade police after suspected traffic violations. Police reportedly ended the pursuit after the group's vehicle overturned and crashed inside the village.
❌ IDF CONTINUES SEIZING HEZBOLLAH WEAPONS IN SOUTHERN LEBANON: IDF troops operating in the security zone in southern Lebanon continue locating Hezbollah weapons and military infrastructure.
In recent days, soldiers discovered an underground shaft and a weapons storage facility containing rockets and mortars in the At-Tiri area. During additional operations near Maroun al-Ras, troops also located explosive devices, weapons, and other military equipment.
The IDF said the weapons recovered were intended to be used by Hezbollah terrorists against Israeli forces operating in the area.
