🛡️ IDF HALTS BROADER LEBANON STRIKES AS HEZBOLLAH ATTACKS KILL SOLDIERS AND SECURITY ZONE OPERATIONS EXPAND

⚔️ IDF HALTS BROADER STRIKES IN LEBANON: Over Shabbat, the IDF was instructed by the political leadership to halt broader strikes in Lebanon following American pressure and Iranian threats. The military says it has halted fire elsewhere in the country but will continue operating within its declared security zone and against immediate threats.

📍 SECURITY ZONE EXPANDED AROUND ALI TAHER RIDGE: The IDF says it continues operations in southern Lebanon, including at the Ali Taher ridge near Nabatieh, where it assesses Hezbollah maintains a major strategic underground facility serving as the nerve center of its Badr regional division.

Dozens of Hezbollah operatives are believed to remain underground, and fighting has taken place above and below ground in recent days. The Ali Taher ridge was not originally included in the IDF’s security zone, but was added to the updated forward defense area published Thursday, along with the Majdal Zoun sector.

❗️HEZBOLLAH ATTACKS KILL IDF SOLDIERS: According to the IDF, Hezbollah launched more than 50 projectiles toward Israeli troops operating in southern Lebanon overnight, constituting repeated violations of the ceasefire agreement.

The military announced the deaths of Staff Sgt. Yoav Klein, 21, of Herzliya, from the 401st Armored Brigade’s 52nd Battalion, and Sgt. First Class Nir Ben Ari, 21, of Maglan, from Kerem Maharal.

In the incident involving Klein, Lt. Col. Dor Gedalia Ben Simhon, commander of the 52nd Battalion, and two additional soldiers whose names have not yet been cleared for publication were also killed. An IDF probe determined that their tank was struck by Hezbollah fire while operating in Kfar Tebnit near the Ali Taher ridge, contrary to reports that the blast was caused by a malfunction.

May their family be comforted among the mourners of Zion. And may HaShem avenge their blood.

In a separate attack around 1:30 a.m., rockets and an explosive drone struck an IDF position in Kfar Tebnit. Ben Ari was killed and 13 soldiers were wounded, including two seriously, one moderately, and ten lightly. The soldiers were evacuated for medical treatment and their families were notified.

💥 IDF RESPONDS TO CEASEFIRE VIOLATIONS: The IDF says it carried out extensive strikes overnight and Saturday morning in response to Hezbollah attacks.

According to the military, dozens of Hezbollah infrastructure sites and operatives were struck across southern Lebanon, including rocket launch positions, weapons storage facilities, and command centers.

The IDF stated: “These constitute repeated violations of the ceasefire agreement by the Hezbollah terror organization. The IDF will not accept harm to Israeli civilians and its forces, and will respond forcefully to any use of force against them.”

The military added that it remains committed to the ceasefire in accordance with the directives of the political echelon while continuing to remove threats to Israel and IDF forces.
