🇮🇱 IDF FORCES CONTINUE OPERATIONS IN LEBANON, GAZA, SYRIA AND JUDEA AND SAMARIA AS TROOPS HOLD MEMORIAL DAY

🪖 IDF MARKS MEMORIAL DAY ACROSS ACTIVE COMBAT ZONES: IDF soldiers marked Memorial Day for Israel’s fallen soldiers and victims of terror across all combat zones. Forces continue operations in Lebanon, Syria, Judea and Samaria, and the Gaza Strip.

Alongside ongoing combat activity, troops held memorial ceremonies over the past day. Soldiers conducted ceremonies, discussion circles, and set up memorial stations dedicated to fallen IDF personnel.

The IDF stated it embraces the bereaved families and continues to act guided by the legacy and spirit of those who fell.

🪖 NORTHERN COMMAND: HUNDREDS OF TROOPS OPERATING INSIDE LEBANON: Commander of the Northern Command, Major General Rafi Milo: “Right now, there are hundreds of soldiers inside Lebanon, operating and carrying out attacks in order to remove any threat from the north. We have strength, we have spirit, we fully understand the mission, and we know the justice of our path is with us. On this evening, we are all together — together with the pain of the families, together with the memory, and together with the longing.”

🪖 GROUND COMMANDERS LINK REMEMBRANCE TO CONTINUED COMBAT: Golani Brigade Commander: “Memorial Day — at this moment, the entire people of Israel unite in remembrance of the fallen — the sons, the friends. This year as well, we are unable to be with the families as we would wish, but the place where we stand this year is the greatest remembrance.”

“In 24 hours, when we go out on another operation, know that thanks to the fallen, thanks to you, and thanks to thousands of fighters like you, and thanks to your families on the home front — the State of Israel will be able to celebrate Independence Day.”

Paratroopers Brigade Commander: “Memorial Day finds us in the midst of combat — not as a pause, but as a direct continuation of the same mission and responsibility. We are in the middle of intense and historic fighting in Bint Jbeil — a historic location where the paratroopers fought in 2006. In the area where Nasrallah tried to portray the State of Israel as weak, Paratroopers Brigade combat teams are now operating with strength. They are fighting in the stadium, in the old city (kasbah), eliminating terrorists, and achieving significant operational results. All of this is made possible thanks to those who fell and sacrificed themselves for these critical missions.”

🇮🇱 AIR FORCE CONDUCTS MEMORIAL DAY FLYOVERS OVER JERUSALEM: Earlier this week, a tribute flyover was held marking Memorial Day for fallen soldiers and victims of hostile attacks. F-16I “Sufa” fighter jets flew over Mount Herzl and Har HaTayasim near Jerusalem.

As is customary in memorial flyovers, a “missing man” formation was performed. One of the aircraft broke away from the formation as a salute to the fallen who gave their lives defending the State of Israel and are no longer with us.

This morning, an additional tribute flyover took place with F-35I “Adir” fighter jets over the same locations. At 13:00, another tribute flyover in memory of victims of hostile attacks featured F-16I “Sufa” fighter jets.
