⚠️ IDF EXTENDS WARNING RESPONSE TIMES IN 49 NORTHERN COMMUNITIES TO IMPROVE CIVILIAN PREPAREDNESS
🛡️ EXPANDED RESPONSE TIMES: Starting tomorrow at 16:00, warning and response times will be extended in 49 additional communities across northern Israel.
The update follows a professional review process involving the Home Front Command, Northern Command, and the Israeli Air Force.
🔹 RATIONALE AND PROCESS: Home Front Command Chief, Maj. Gen. Shai Kalper: “The Command continues to deepen its work—learning and examining solutions to strengthen the protection of human life—while maintaining ongoing dialogue with local authorities, conducting field visits, and directly assessing emerging needs. As part of this effort, a change in response times is now being implemented in additional northern communities. This move is part of an orderly, responsible process based on accumulated experience. Extending the time is intended to enable optimal preparedness during emergencies, thereby strengthening security and protecting residents’ lives.”
🔹 OPERATIONAL ADJUSTMENTS: A team of experts reviewed systems and capabilities and led a series of operational and technological adjustments. The updated response times were presented to local authority leaders ahead of implementation.
🔹 KEY CHANGES: In 46 communities, response time will increase from 30 seconds to 45 seconds.
In 3 communities, response time will increase from 30 seconds to 60 seconds.
🔹 COMMUNITIES UPDATED FROM 30 TO 45 SECONDS: Abu Snan, Elifelet, Amnon, Asherat, Bustan HaGalil, Beit HaEmek, Bi’ina, Julis, Jadeidi-Makr, Deir al-Asad, Hatzor HaGlilit, Tuba-Zangariyye, Tal-El, Yarka, Korazim, Kishor, Klil, Kamaneh, Kamon, Kfar HaNassi, Kfar Yasif, Karkom, Karmiel, Lavon, Lohamei HaGeta’ot, Majd al-Krum, Mazra’a, Mahanaim, Mikhmanim, Nahf, Nes Ammim, Netiv HaShayara, Sajur, Acre including the industrial zone, Amiad, Amka, Pelekh, Tzurit Gilon, Rama, Rosh Pina, Regba, Shavei Tzion, Shomrat, Shezor, Sheikh Danun, Tuval.
🔹 COMMUNITIES UPDATED FROM 30 TO 60 SECONDS: Kfar Masaryk, Ein HaMifratz, Arab al-Na’im.
