πͺ IDF forces continued a large-scale operation in the Litani sector aimed at dismantling Hezbollah infrastructure and strengthening operational control south of the Forward Defense Line. Troops located Hezbollah compounds, underground tunnel networks, weapons depots, missile launchers, and additional military infrastructure.
The Israeli Air Force carried out more than 100 strikes in support of ground operations, while IDF troops engaged Hezbollah operatives in close-quarters combat and eliminated dozens of terrorists. During one encounter, forces uncovered and cleared a significant underground tunnel route used by Hezbollah operatives.
π― The IDF also released footage showing the elimination of a Hezbollah gunman emerging from a tunnel near the Litani River. The operative was targeted by troops from the Golani Brigade Reconnaissance Unit operating in the area.
β The military stated that more than 350 Hezbollah operatives have been eliminated in southern Lebanon in recent weeks. Over 1,100 Hezbollah targets were struck during the same period, including military compounds, weapons storage facilities, loaded launchers prepared for fire, and additional terrorist infrastructure.
π Over the past 24 hours, the Israeli Air Force eliminated approximately 15 Hezbollah operatives identified near IDF troops in southern Lebanon. Forces also dismantled rocket launchers aimed at Israeli territory and troops operating near the border. In the Rashaf area, soldiers located a Hezbollah weapons storage site containing Kalashnikov rifles, rockets, explosive devices, and additional combat equipment.
β οΈ The IDF reported an unsuccessful attempt to launch a surface-to-air missile toward an Israeli Air Force aircraft. No injuries or damage were reported. In response, the Israeli Air Force struck a suspect fleeing the launch area on a motorcycle.
πΈ Hezbollah drone activity continued across southern Lebanon and northern Israel. The Israeli Air Force intercepted several suspicious aerial targets near areas where IDF troops are operating, while additional explosive drones launched by Hezbollah detonated near the border. Multiple hostile aircraft infiltration alerts were activated in northern communities including Manara and Margaliot. Several UAVs were intercepted before crossing into Israeli territory, while contact with additional targets was lost. No injuries were reported.
π‘ Israeli media reports described Hezbollahβs explosive drone threat as an increasing operational challenge for the IDF. According to Channel 14 and Army Radio, the military is introducing expanded anti-drone measures influenced by lessons from the Russia-Ukraine war, including rotating wire-based interception systems, broader radar integration, defensive networks, interceptor drones, and the distribution of fragmentation rounds to forces operating in Lebanon.
π Separately, the Israeli Air Force intercepted a UAV approaching from the east near Eilat. The origin of the launch remains under investigation, with assessments examining possible links to Yemen, Iraq, or Iran. Israeli military officials also stated there is no full certainty that the target was a drone and said the possibility of birds has not been ruled out. The IDF estimates that two UAVs may have been launched from Yemen.
ποΈ In Gaza, IDF forces reported several encounters with terrorists in both the northern and southern sectors of the Strip. Troops identified operatives carrying out suspicious activity near Israeli forces, including individuals approaching the security perimeter and monitoring troop movements. Israeli Air Force strikes and IDF fire eliminated four terrorists, while additional hits were reported on other operatives.
