🎯 IDF ELIMINATES HEZBOLLAH DRONE CELL AND GAZA TERRORISTS; ILLEGAL SYRIA CROSSINGS RISE
🎯 HEZBOLLAH DRONE CELL ELIMINATED IN SOUTHERN LEBANON: IDF Commando Brigade troops identified a Hezbollah drone operating over the Kfar Tebnit area, near Israel’s Security Zone and IDF forces.
The Israeli Air Force searched the area and located several Hezbollah terrorists operating the drone while taking cover nearby. The cell was struck and eliminated “to remove the threat to our forces,” according to the IDF.
❗️ IDF: HEZBOLLAH DEVICE KILLED LEBANESE SOLDIER: A Lebanese Army vehicle drove over an explosive device near Al-Mansouri, inside the Security Zone in southern Lebanon. One Lebanese soldier was killed, while an officer and another soldier were wounded.
Following an examination, the IDF said “it was determined that the explosive device was not an IDF device, but rather one that was apparently planted by the Hezbollah terror organization.”
The IDF said its forces had not recently been present in the area. The Lebanese Army vehicle entered the Security Zone without the prior coordination required under the existing coordination mechanism.
The military called on Lebanese civilians and forces “to avoid entering locations where Hezbollah continues to pose a threat, and to coordinate movements in advance as customary, for their own safety.”
🛡️ INTERCEPTOR LAUNCHED TOWARD FALSE TARGET: An interceptor was launched toward a false target in an area where IDF soldiers are operating in southern Lebanon. No sirens were activated, in accordance with protocol.
The IDF said there was no suspicion of a security incident and that the incident remains under review.
❌ IDF REPORTS RISE IN ILLEGAL CROSSINGS INTO SYRIA: Several Israeli civilians crossed from the Majdal Shams area into Syrian territory last Thursday. IDF troops searched the area, located the civilians near the border yesterday, detained them and transferred them to the Israel Police.
In several additional incidents today, Israeli civilians attempted to cross into Syria from the southern Golan Heights. IDF troops prevented them from advancing and transferred them to police.
The IDF said it has recently identified an increase in such incidents. The military warned that they divert soldiers from ongoing operational activity, compromise security and endanger both civilians and IDF troops.
The IDF strongly condemned the actions as criminal offenses and called on law enforcement authorities to bring those involved to justice and act decisively to prevent further incidents.
🎯 ISLAMIC JIHAD SNIPER AND HAMAS OPERATIONS COMMANDER ELIMINATED: The IDF eliminated Imam Khamis Akasha Abu Brikh, an Islamic Jihad sniper, in an aerial strike in central Gaza yesterday.
The IDF said Islamic Jihad terrorists had recently advanced sniper attacks against troops operating in the Gaza Strip.
In a separate strike in northern Gaza, the IDF eliminated Muhammad Taysir Ahmad Ubeid, a commander in Hamas’ Operations Headquarters. Throughout the war, Ubeid advanced terrorist attacks against Israeli civilians and IDF troops.
The IDF said both terrorists posed a threat to forces operating in the Gaza Strip and were eliminated in aerial strikes.
