⚔ IDF Chief of Staff: “There is no containment — only initiative.”: IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir conducted a situational assessment and operational tour in northern Samaria together with senior Central Command, Civil Administration, and brigade leadership.
Commanders presented the operational situation in the area, while Zamir met with battalion commanders and soldiers and praised ongoing counterterrorism operations and coordination among Israeli security bodies.
Zamir stated that the IDF has “created a new security reality across all arenas,” pointing to continued operations in Lebanon near the Litani area, ongoing counterterrorism activity in Judea and Samaria, and offensive operations in Gaza.
He said the IDF is eliminating terrorists and terror infrastructure daily and stressed: “There is no containment — only initiative.”
Zamir said the northern Samaria operation is not over and that the IDF remains prepared to renew fighting if required while maintaining constant readiness for both defensive and offensive operations “from Judea and Samaria to Tehran.”
He added that terrorism levels in Judea and Samaria are among the lowest seen in recent years due to continuous proactive operations, including inside densely populated areas.
The Chief of Staff emphasized the operational tempo of the brigade, noting that forces transitioned directly from intense operations in Lebanon to deployment in Judea and Samaria only weeks later.
