🪖 Southern Lebanon engagement
The Israeli Air Force and IDF soldiers eliminated nine Hezbollah terrorists during operations in southern Lebanon.
After several armed terrorists approached the area where IDF troops were operating, ground forces engaged the threat and directed an airstrike that eliminated them. No IDF injuries were reported.
🪖 Ground raids and weapons seizures: IDF troops continue targeted ground activity aimed at strengthening the forward defense area in southern Lebanon.
During raids on Hezbollah military structures, troops located large quantities of weapons and eliminated more than ten additional terrorists who posed an immediate threat. Weapons found in the area included rockets, firearms, and magazines used by Hezbollah operatives to carry out attacks against IDF soldiers and the State of Israel.
🪖 Separate firefight during operations: During another targeted ground operation in southern Lebanon, IDF troops identified several armed Hezbollah terrorists.
One terrorist was eliminated in a ground engagement, additional terrorists who fired toward the troops were struck by an Israeli Air Force aircraft, and three more were eliminated by tank fire. No IDF injuries were reported.
💥 Wide-scale strikes across Iran and Lebanon: Over the weekend, the IDF carried out wide-scale waves of strikes against more than 200 targets belonging to Hezbollah and the Iranian regime.
In Iran, the Israeli Air Force, acting on IDF intelligence, struck compounds used to store weapons and ballistic missiles intended for attacks against Israel, along with missile launchers, aerial defense systems, and additional military compounds as part of efforts to further degrade the regime’s fire arrays.
💥 Beirut command centers struck: In Lebanon, the Israeli Air Force completed two waves of strikes in Beirut and additional areas.
Targets included a command center used by Hezbollah’s Intelligence Headquarters, from which Hezbollah terrorists operated against IDF troops, and a command center used by Hezbollah’s Aerial Defense Array headquarters to develop systems intended to harm IDF aircraft.
🪖 Ongoing operations in southern Lebanon: In parallel to the airstrikes, IDF troops continue operating in southern Lebanon.
Over the weekend, forces located additional weapon stockpiles, dismantled surveillance posts and Hezbollah infrastructure sites that posed a threat, and identified and eliminated several more terrorists during the operations.
