🛡️ IDF DISMANTLES HEZBOLLAH TUNNEL IN SOUTHERN LEBANON AS DRONE INFILTRATION ALERTS SOUND ACROSS NORTHERN ISRAEL
❌ IDF troops dismantled a Hezbollah underground terror tunnel in the Mount Dov area of southern Lebanon. The tunnel was approximately 100 meters long and included four hideout rooms used by Hezbollah terrorists. The operation was carried out in accordance with the ceasefire understandings, as troops continue locating and dismantling Hezbollah terrorist infrastructure.
💥 The IDF also announced strikes against Hezbollah infrastructure in Lebanon over the past week. An underground compound in the Beqaa area used to manufacture weapons for attacks against Israeli civilians and IDF soldiers was struck. Hezbollah infrastructure sites in Tyre used to plan and execute attacks against IDF soldiers were also targeted.
🎯 Five Hezbollah terrorists were eliminated after entering a Hezbollah command center last week. The IDF said the command center was struck shortly after the terrorists entered the facility. Over the past 24 hours, additional Hezbollah weapons storage facilities and terrorist infrastructure were struck, and additional Hezbollah terrorists posing a threat to IDF soldiers were eliminated.
🛡️ Multiple hostile aircraft infiltration alerts were activated across northern Israel. Sirens sounded in Shomera, Even Menachem, Adamit, Arab al-Aramshe, Yir’on, Avivim, Qiryat Shemona, and additional northern areas following suspected aerial targets launched from Lebanon.
🛡️ Several incidents involved suspicious aerial targets with whom contact was later lost. In one incident, an interceptor was launched toward a suspicious aerial target near Adamit and Arab al-Aramshe. Missile and rocket alerts were activated due to the interception attempts, and the results remain under review.
❗️ An explosive drone launched by Hezbollah detonated inside Israeli territory near the Lebanon border. The drone was launched toward IDF soldiers operating near the border area. No injuries were reported.
🕯️ Staff Sergeant Noam Hamburger, of blessed memory, fell near the northern border during operational activity against Hezbollah. May his family be comforted among the mourners of Zion. And may HaShem avenge his blood.
During the incident in which Staff Sergeant Noam Hamburger fell, one IDF soldier was severely injured and a non-commissioned officer was lightly injured. The soldiers were evacuated for medical treatment, and their families were notified.
⚠️ Five Israeli civilians crossed several meters into Lebanese territory yesterday. IDF soldiers operating in the area returned the civilians to Israeli territory and detained them until the arrival of Israel Police forces. The civilians were transferred to the Israel Police. The IDF strongly condemned the incident and emphasized that it constitutes a criminal offense that endangers both civilians and IDF soldiers.
🛡️ The Home Front Command defensive guidelines remain unchanged. Following a situational assessment, current defensive measures will remain in effect until Tuesday, May 26, 2026, at 8:00 PM.
