🛡️ IAF INTERCEPTS UAVS FROM LEBANON AS HEZBOLLAH DRONE ATTACK WOUNDS IDF SOLDIERS AND U.S. PREPARES IRAN STRIKE OPTIONS
🚨 AERIAL THREATS FROM LEBANON: Following sirens in the Rosh HaNikra area, the Israeli Air Force intercepted a UAV that crossed from Lebanon into Israeli territory. Sirens were activated in accordance with protocol.
A short while later, the Israeli Air Force intercepted three suspicious aerial targets before they crossed into Israeli territory. No sirens were sounded, in accordance with protocol.
An additional interceptor was launched toward a suspicious aerial target in southern Lebanon, in an area where IDF forces are operating. The results are under review.
❗️ HEZBOLLAH DRONE ATTACK IN SOUTHERN LEBANON: Two IDF soldiers were moderately wounded in an explosive drone attack in Bint Jbeil. The injured soldiers, a female officer and a male non-commissioned officer, were evacuated to a hospital and their families were notified.
Hezbollah claimed responsibility, saying it targeted two tanks in the area with explosive drones.
⚠️ U.S. PREPARES IRAN STRIKE OPTIONS: US Central Command Commander Admiral Brad Cooper and Joint Chiefs Chairman General Dan Cain briefed President Trump for 45 minutes on new operational plans for potential strikes against Iran, according to two senior American officials.
The US Senate rejected for the sixth time a proposal aimed at preventing President Trump from renewing military action against Iran.
⚠️ UAE ISSUES EVACUATION WARNING: The United Arab Emirates instructed its citizens in Iran, Lebanon, and Iraq to leave immediately and banned travel to those countries due to “current regional developments.”
🛡️ ISRAEL QUIETLY SUPPORTS UAE DEFENSE: Israel urgently supplied the UAE with a compact drone-detection system known as “Spectro” during recent Iranian missile and drone attacks. The system was rushed in to strengthen the UAE’s early-warning capabilities.
The support also included early-warning systems capable of detecting drones about 20 km away, Iron Beam deployment, Iron Dome batteries, Israeli personnel on the ground, and real-time intelligence sharing, according to the Financial Times.
⚠️ IRAN RESPONDS TO REGIONAL PRESSURE: Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian: “The world has witnessed Iran’s tolerance and conciliation. What is being done under the guise of a naval blockade is an extension of military operations against a nation paying the price for its resistance and independence. Continuation of this oppressive approach is intolerable.”
🇪🇺 TRUMP SIGNALS POSSIBLE U.S. TROOP WITHDRAWALS FROM EUROPE: President Trump said he is considering withdrawing U.S. troops from Italy and Spain, after previously suggesting a similar move regarding Germany.
He framed the possible shift as a response to what he described as insufficient support from those countries during tensions with Iran, saying the U.S. sought allied participation to assess their willingness to engage.
🛢️ U.S. ENERGY MOVE: President Trump signed a major presidential permit for a new oil transport pipeline, describing it as similar to the Keystone XL pipeline and a step toward expanding North American oil transport capacity and long-term energy security.
