📍 Huckabee on Israel’s presence in Lebanon: U.S. Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee said: "The Lebanese realized Israel does not want to annex one meter of Lebanese property. They don't want to be there. They want to go home. They are reservists. They are exhausted. They want to be back with their families. But they are not going to abandon the people in the northern part of Israel to continued rocket, missile and drone attacks. They are going to stay until the LAF is strong enough to be the securing force".
🔸 Huckabee addresses Mecca Alliance and Saudi ties: Huckabee said: "The Mecca Alliance is not being threatened by Israel. Israel has no intention of attacking Turkey, Saudi Arabia or Pakistan. And the U.S. has no ambitions to go into these countries. So whatever agreement they are making, they clearly believe that it is in their best interest. Perhaps it is to protect against the Houthis or terrorist organizations. I never certainly saw or heard any anxiety in Washington that, 'Oh my gosh, this is a terrible thing'. I don't think that anyone saw it that way".
On relations with Saudi Arabia, Huckabee said: "The Israelis would love to have a security agreement with the Saudis. Would love for the Saudis to be part of the Abraham Accords. Certainly not because of any hesitancy in Israel. The hesitancy is in the KSA. We have to hope that there will be a warming of ideas. I can say that there is a good military-to-military relationship. There ia a good intel-to-intel [relationship], and everyone would benefit".
🔸 U.S.–Houthi talks and Saudi–Yemeni settlement prospects: President Trump said: "We're talking to the Houthis, and they would like to see if we can make a deal".
Iranian Supreme National Security Council Secretary Mohsen Rezai said: "We want the war between Saudi Arabia and Yemen to end, and I believe the Yemenis also want a settlement with Saudi Arabia".
