⚓ HORMUZ ATTACKS, HOUTHI STRIKES, HEZBOLLAH DISARMAMENT & SYRIA-RUSSIA DEAL

🛡️ HEZBOLLAH DISARMAMENT: Israel and Lebanon have agreed on a shortlist of countries that could send forces to verify Hezbollah's disarmament under a U.S.-brokered agreement, with Washington expected to select one or more countries. Reuters reported that Israel and the U.S. had vetoed France.

A separate Lebanese report identified the UK, Switzerland, Azerbaijan and Indonesia as countries under discussion for potential participation in areas from which the IDF would withdraw.

❌ SYRIA-LEBANON ARMS SMUGGLING: Syrian Internal Security Forces say they intercepted a weapons shipment in Tartus bound for Lebanon, seizing automatic rifles, RPG rounds, magazines and ammunition.

📍 RUSSIA-SYRIA BASE AGREEMENT: After 18 months of negotiations, Syria and Russia have agreed to restructure Moscow's presence at Hmeimim and Tartous, according to Reuters. Civilian facilities, including Hmeimim Airport and Tartous Port's fourth commercial berth, will gradually return to Syrian state management. Russian military facilities will be converted into joint Syrian-Russian training centers rather than traditional military bases, with the transition expected to be completed within three months.

⚓ STRAIT OF HORMUZ ATTACKS: The UAE says four Emirati vessels have been attacked in the Strait of Hormuz this week. An ADNOC-linked vessel was struck by a missile Saturday, with the UAE blaming Iran and condemning what it called a hostile Iranian attack, according to Reuters.

Separately, a vessel was struck by an unknown projectile 18 nautical miles east of Khasab, Oman, causing a fire that was extinguished. UKMTO said the vessel and crew were safe.

Oman condemned repeated attacks on vessels transiting the Strait, without naming Iran, calling them violations of international law and threats to maritime security and regional stability. Muscat said negotiations over navigation arrangements were progressing positively and urged all sides to avoid actions that could undermine the talks, according to Oman's Foreign Ministry.

⚔️ HOUTHI ATTACKS: The Houthis launched missile and drone attacks against Saudi-backed Yemeni government forces in Marib, including the Sahn al-Jinn military camp, targeting troops, weapons, vehicles and supply depots. Government forces said they responded with strikes on Houthi forces and equipment following attacks in Marib and Hadramout.

The Houthis also claimed a drone attack on Saudi Aramco's Jazan refinery. Saudi authorities said the resulting fire was extinguished with no injuries, according to Reuters. The Houthis separately launched missile and drone strikes on Al-Mukha Port, causing fires and heavy damage.
