🚨 GENEVA TALKS PAUSE AS U.S. DEMANDS IRAN NUCLEAR DISMANTLEMENT AND ZERO ENRICHMENT; TEHRAN REJECTS CORE TERMS AMID U.S. STRIKE SIGNALS AND SUBMARINE DEPLOYMENT
🔸 GENEVA TALKS PAUSE FOR CONSULTATIONS: The third round of indirect U.S.–Iran negotiations in Geneva was suspended after about four hours for delegation consultations and is expected to resume this evening.
A senior Iranian official told Reuters: “New ideas were raised during the negotiations that require consultation with Tehran. There are still gaps. Reaching a deal is possible if the US seriously separates the nuclear issue from other matters”.
‼️ U.S. PRESENTS MAXIMAL NUCLEAR DEMANDS: The Wall Street Journal reports the U.S. presented demands including destroying the Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan nuclear sites, handing over all enriched uranium to the United States, and enforcing zero enrichment with no sunset clauses.
The report adds Iran would be allowed to keep the Tehran research reactor, with minimal sanctions relief upfront and additional relief contingent on compliance.
🚫 IRAN SIGNALS CONDITIONAL FLEXIBILITY AND REJECTION OF CORE TERMS: A senior Iranian official rejected U.S. demands in an interview with Al Jazeera: We completely reject the dismantling of nuclear facilities, the handover of uranium stockpiles, and the principle of zero enrichment forever.
🤥 Ali Shamkhani, senior adviser to Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, said: “If the core issue in the negotiations is a guarantee that Iran will not pursue nuclear weapons, this aligns fully with the Supreme Leader’s fatwa and with Iran’s defense doctrine. Under such circumstances, an immediate agreement is achievable. Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has the full authority and backing required to finalize such an agreement.”
💢 STRIKE SIGNALS AND MILITARY POSTURE: Israeli sources told i24 News: “If the gaps in the talks between the U.S. and Iran are not significantly reduced, Trump may have no choice but to order an attack”.
i24 News also reported Hezbollah expects a possible U.S. attack on Iran within 72 hours.
President Trump ordered the deployment of a second American nuclear submarine to the Middle East.
🇮🇱🇮🇳 ISRAEL–INDIA SIGN 16 COOPERATION AGREEMENTS IN JERUSALEM: Israel and India signed 16 memoranda of understanding in the presence of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar signed agreements with his counterpart, Dr. Subrahmanyam Jaishankar, to expand cooperation in various fields, including culture and agricultural innovation.
Netanyahu told Modi: “You have a very efficient government. What you are able to accomplish with one minister and one ambassador makes me think.”
Turning to his own ministers, he added: “Don’t worry.”
He also said: “I owe India a personal debt. When I first met Sara, our first or second date was at an Indian restaurant in Tel Aviv. There is no question - the food was amazing. It was Sara’s first time trying it, so it was a wonderful first date. I owe you.”
Prime Minister Narendra Modi: We are granting cooperation with Israel the status of a special strategic partnership.
