🎯 GAZA: IDF TARGETS HAMAS AND ISLAMIC JIHAD OPERATIVES: The IDF struck a Hamas military wing commander in Deir al-Balah who it said had recently advanced attacks against IDF troops and Israeli civilians while working to rehabilitate Hamas capabilities in systematic violation of the ceasefire. The commander was hiding inside the Shuhada Al-Aqsa Hospital compound, which the IDF cited as another example of Hamas using medical infrastructure for terrorist activity.
The IDF said it had warned Gaza medical authorities on August 27 that it would act against threats if the use of medical facilities for terrorist purposes continued.
Separate strikes eliminated Hamas Nukba company commander Hani Abd al-Hai Fakhri Mazloum and Hamas sniper Hassan Zidan Hassan Deiri, both of whom the IDF said were also involved in trafficking and supplying weapons and had continued advancing attacks while rebuilding Hamas capabilities.
In Al-Shati, the IDF eliminated Hamas military wing commander Ibrahim Nabil Ibrahim Bass, who infiltrated Israel and participated in the October 7 Massacre. In Sabra, it eliminated Palestinian Islamic Jihad observation platoon commander Hamdi Ahmad Hamid Kahlil. The IDF said both had continued advancing attacks and attempting to restore terrorist organization capabilities in violation of the ceasefire.
🛰️ JENIN: QAIS BITAWI AND TWO ACCOMPLICES ELIMINATED: A joint IDF-Shin Bet operation in the Jenin area on Friday eliminated Hamas operative Qais Bitawi and two accomplices in an Israeli Air Force drone strike based on precise Shin Bet intelligence.
Bitawi was part of the former Jenin terrorist network dismantled during Operation Iron Wall and, according to the Shin Bet, headed Hamas activity in the Jenin refugee camp. Israeli security agencies said he was involved in directing, financing and carrying out attacks against Israeli civilians and security forces while maintaining ties with Hamas in Gaza and abroad.
IDF troops and Yamam officers launched the operation after receiving intelligence on his location. Bitawi and the two others were struck after leaving a vehicle near a structure, and weapons were subsequently found inside the vehicle. Bitawi was a relative of Nour Bitawi, a former Jenin network commander eliminated in May 2025.
⚠️ QUSRA AND JALUD: SECURITY FORCES INTERVENE AFTER VIOLENT CLASHES: IDF and Border Police forces were deployed to Qusra after reports that Israeli rioters had entered the area and clashes involving stone-throwing toward Palestinians and other civilians had erupted.
Forces found dozens of rioters barricaded inside a Palestinian home while Palestinian residents remained inside and moved to remove the rioters and separate the groups. The IDF acknowledged reports of Palestinian injuries, including a woman who sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was evacuated by the Red Crescent.
Security forces confiscated vehicles suspected of being used by the rioters to reach the area and transferred them, together with evidence collected at the scene, to the Judea and Samaria District Police. Forces continued operating in Qusra and Jalud to prevent further disturbances.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu strongly condemned the violence, saying the rioters were harming the law-abiding settler community, interfering with IDF operations and damaging Israel internationally. He said three vehicles had been confiscated and called for those responsible to be arrested and brought to justice.
