🎯 IDF TARGETS HAMAS OPERATIVES ACROSS GAZA: The IDF said a Saturday strike in Jabalia eliminated Abd al-Fattah Abu al-Eish, a Hamas Nukhba Force commander who infiltrated Israel during the October 7 massacre, along with Hamas military-wing operative Raed Adel Mohammed Alyan. According to the military, both had recently been advancing attacks against IDF troops and Israeli civilians and working to rebuild Hamas capabilities in violation of the ceasefire.
The IDF also said strikes in Khan Yunis eliminated Nukhba operatives Yasser Abu al-Khair and Mohammed al-Din, who were similarly accused of advancing attacks and helping rehabilitate Hamas capabilities. In Deir al-Balah, the military eliminated Hamas military-wing operative Hassam Osama Hussein Nasir, saying he had been advancing attacks against IDF troops and Israeli civilians. The IDF said the strikes were carried out to remove the threats posed by the operatives.
🛰️ TWO TEENAGERS INDICTED IN ALLEGED IRANIAN SPYING CASE: Two Jewish teenagers, aged 14 and 16, from Kiryat Motzkin were indicted on accusations of carrying out paid assignments for an Iranian agent. The alleged tasks included photographing locations, spraying graffiti and attempting to recruit other minors.
🌊 U.S. DECLINES REQUEST TO LEAD CAMPAIGN AGAINST HOUTHIS: The United States rejected a request from Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman for Washington to lead a military campaign against the Houthis, according to the Israeli Broadcasting Authority. U.S. officials said Washington would support a Saudi-led operation but would not lead it, partly because Houthi forces are currently targeting Saudi-linked vessels rather than U.S. ships in the Red Sea.
⛽ FUEL PRICE TO MATCH HISTORIC RECORD: Fuel prices will rise by 16 agorot per liter at midnight between Monday and Tuesday, reaching NIS 8.25 per liter, approximately US$2.77 per liter or US$10.49 per U.S. gallon at the latest available exchange rate. The price will match the record set in September 2012.
🇮🇱 RABBI YITZHAK YOSEF ATTACKS ATTORNEY GENERAL OVER MARAN MEMORIAL: Rabbi Yitzhak Yosef sharply criticized the attorney general over a legal opinion he said prevents a memorial gathering honoring his late father, Maran, from being held ahead of elections. Yosef argued that his father was fundamentally a Torah figure rather than a political figure and contrasted the restriction with memorial events for former prime minister Yitzhak Rabin.
Yosef recalled that nearly one million people from across Israeli society attended his father's funeral and urged the public not to heed the attorney general's position. He then launched an unusually severe personal attack, saying: “Who is she anyway? May the Holy One, Blessed be He, annihilate her, give her the blow... give her what she deserves. She messes with Maran? Maran, the greatest of the generations, she messes with him? This will not pass in silence. May God help so that she receives her blow.” Members of the audience responded, “Amen.”
