🎯 IDF AND SHIN BET CONFIRM ELIMINATION OF HAMAS’S RAFAH BRIGADE COMMANDER: The IDF and Shin Bet confirmed that a strike in southern Gaza earlier today eliminated Nael Abu Obeid, commander of Hamas’s Rafah Brigade and head of its military wing’s operations array. The confirmation follows an initial announcement that his elimination was still being assessed. The strike follows the elimination earlier this week of Hamas’s Khan Younis Brigade commander.
According to the IDF and Shin Bet, Abu Obeid assumed his position following the elimination of Mohammad Sabaneh. He previously served as deputy commander of the Rafah Brigade and commander of the Tel al-Sultan and Yibna Battalions.
The agencies described Abu Obeid as a key figure in Hamas’s senior leadership, responsible for managing the brigade’s terrorists and directing attacks against IDF troops and Israeli civilians. He also worked to rebuild the brigade’s capabilities after it suffered severe damage throughout the war.
In their earlier statement announcing the strike, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Israel Katz said: “The IDF has just struck the commander of Hamas’s Rafah Brigade, following the elimination earlier this week of the Khan Younis Brigade commander and other senior figures in the organization. Our message is clear: No terrorist is immune, and Hamas will not remain in Gaza. We commend the IDF and Shin Bet, which are acting resolutely to eliminate threats and protect the citizens of Israel.”
🎯 ISLAMIC JIHAD COMMANDER WHO INFILTRATED KISSUFIM ELIMINATED: The IDF said it eliminated Mohsen Farid Said Abu Hadaf, an Islamic Jihad rocket cell commander, in a strike in the Khan Younis area of southern Gaza last weekend. According to the military, he infiltrated the Kissufim area during the October 7 massacre.
The IDF said he had recently advanced attacks against Israeli troops and civilians in systematic violation of the ceasefire, and that the strike removed the threat he posed.
❌ GERMANY CHARGES SEVEN ALLEGED HAMAS MEMBERS: German federal prosecutors charged seven alleged Hamas members over a reported plot to carry out a deadly attack against Israeli or Jewish targets in Germany or Austria. The plot reportedly became concrete by July 2025 and was intended for the second anniversary of the October 7, 2023, Hamas attacks.
❌ SHIN BET REPORTS AMDOCS-LINKED ATTACK PLOT: The Shin Bet said it arrested a 19-year-old Arab Israeli from Kafr Qasim suspected of planning an attack. According to the investigation, he intended to blow up a server farm linked to Amdocs after entering the site through his national service with the fire department.
