Earlier this week, the IDF also eliminated Akram Muhammad Mahmoud Abu Mazi, a Hamas military-wing operative who infiltrated Israel during the October 7 massacre. The military said he had recently been involved in efforts to rebuild Hamas' military capabilities and advance attacks against Israeli forces and civilians.
🚧 KEREM SHALOM SECURITY INCIDENT AND OPERATIONAL FATALITY: IDF forces responded to reports of a suspected Hamas operative near the Gaza side of the Kerem Shalom Crossing. An unarmed suspect was apprehended and transferred for questioning. The IDF stated there was no infiltration into Israeli territory and said the suspect's identity remains under review while coordination with nearby communities continues.
Separately, a civilian contractor employed in Defense Ministry engineering and demolition work was killed in an operational accident after a structure collapsed during demolition activities in Gaza. The Defense Ministry and IDF extended condolences to the family.
🎯 LEBANON: THREATS INSIDE THE SECURITY ZONE NEUTRALIZED: IDF forces operating in the Ali al-Taher Ridge area identified two armed Hezbollah operatives assessed as posing an immediate threat. The Israeli Air Force, together with ground forces, struck and eliminated the threat.
In a separate incident, the Israeli Air Force struck a vehicle carrying several suspects after it crossed the ceasefire line into the Israeli security zone and was assessed as threatening nearby IDF troops. Lebanese media reported two fatalities.

🛰️ JUDEA AND SAMARIA: WANTED ARMS DEALER ELIMINATED: During a joint operation by the IDF and the Israel Security Agency (Shin Bet) near Yamun, security forces eliminated Mohamed Zayed, a wanted terrorist linked to weapons trafficking. According to the IDF, he had supplied firearms to the terrorist responsible for a 2025 shooting attack that seriously wounded two IDF soldiers. After evading capture for an extended period while moving between hiding places, Zayed attempted to flee during the arrest operation, was assessed as posing a threat to the forces, and was eliminated.
🏋️ IDF TRAINING ACTIVITY IN THE ETZION BRIGADE SECTOR: The IDF announced a previously scheduled military exercise in the Etzion Brigade sector beginning tomorrow morning and concluding around midday. Residents should expect increased military vehicle movement and the sound of explosions as part of the 2026 training program. The military emphasized that the exercise does not indicate a security incident.
