🇮🇱 GAZA COMMANDERS ELIMINATED, IRAN REARMS, REGIONAL AND DOMESTIC SECURITY UPDATES

🎯 GAZA: TWO HAMAS COMPANY COMMANDERS ELIMINATED: The IDF confirmed the elimination of Muhammad Bassam Muhammad Mushtaha, a company commander in Hamas’s Shati’ Battalion, who was struck two weeks ago in northern Gaza. Mushtaha participated in the October 7 massacre and, according to the IDF, was involved during the war in holding numerous hostages, including Tsachi Idan, Corporal Noa Marciano, Ziv Berman, Omri Miran, Ori Megidish, Naama Levy and Matan Angrerst. The military said he had recently attempted to advance attacks against IDF troops and Israeli civilians.
In a separate strike Thursday in southern Gaza, the IDF eliminated Hudhaifa Khaled Suleiman Qawari, a company commander in Hamas’s Khan Yunis Brigade. The IDF said Qawari had been involved in training terrorists, transferring weapons across southern Gaza, rebuilding Hamas capabilities and advancing attacks against troops and Israeli civilians. The strike took place during the ceasefire, with the military saying he was targeted because of the threat he posed.
🛰️ IRAN: MISSILE CAPABILITIES REBUILDING FASTER THAN EXPECTED: According to The Jerusalem Post, IDF and Mossad officials assess that Iran is recovering its ballistic-missile capabilities more rapidly than anticipated following the 2026 war, despite thousands of strikes. Israeli intelligence assesses that Iran could restore its missile arsenal to pre-war levels by 2027 and again constitute a “major threat” by 2028.
♟️ U.S.-ISRAEL STRIKE REPORT DISPUTED BY CENTCOM: Channel 13 reported that CENTCOM commander Adm. Brad Cooper is advocating renewed U.S.-Israeli strikes against Iran, including oil, gas and electricity infrastructure, and allegedly told senior IDF officials that such attacks could force Iran to “change its position.” CENTCOM denied the report.
⚓ STRAIT OF HORMUZ: UAE REPORTS TWO TANKERS ATTACKED: The UAE said two Emirati oil tankers belonging to the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company were attacked in the Strait of Hormuz.
🛡️ JUDEA AND SAMARIA: CIVILIAN ENFORCEMENT TRANSFER PLANNED: The Defense Minister instructed the IDF to prepare a plan transferring enforcement authority over civilian matters involving Israeli communities and the Israeli population in Judea and Samaria to the Israel Police. He said the IDF should concentrate on fighting Palestinian terrorism and defending borders and communities, while civilian law-and-order responsibilities are transferred to police.
🪖 IDF GENERAL STAFF EXERCISE COMPLETED: A pre-planned military exercise was held Friday morning at IDF General Staff Headquarters in Tel Aviv as part of the 2026 training program. Increased movement of security forces and vehicles was visible, while gunfire and explosion sounds were heard in the area. The exercise was not connected to a security incident.
🌍 ISRAELI HUMANITARIAN DELEGATION DEPLOYS TO COLOMBIA: A delegation led by the IDF Home Front Command, coordinated with the Defense and Foreign ministries, departed for Colombia Thursday night. Preparations included packing and loading customized rescue equipment for the delegation’s activities.
