๐ฎ๐ฑ Defense production expands in Israel's eastern region: The Defense Ministry inaugurated a new production line in Israel's eastern region to manufacture components for systems installed on the Eitan APC.
The initiative is part of a broader strategy to expand Israel's defense industrial base while strengthening Israel's eastern region through high-quality employment, improved governance, stronger local communities, and the integration of security, settlement, and economic development.
โ๏ธ Two Hamas commanders eliminated in Gaza: The IDF announced the elimination of two Hamas commanders in separate strikes in the northern Gaza Strip.
Earlier this week, the IDF eliminated Khalil Jamal Khalil Manna, a commander in Hamas' Weapons Production Headquarters who oversaw rocket launcher production, managed key manufacturing operations, and worked to restore the headquarters' capabilities during the ceasefire.
In a separate strike yesterday, the IDF eliminated Osama Walid Deeb Muhareb, a company commander in Hamas' Nuseirat Battalion who, according to the IDF, had recently stored explosive devices intended for attacks against IDF troops. The IDF said both terrorists posed a threat to its forces and were struck from the air to remove that threat.
โ IDF detains civilians attempting to cross into Syria: Several Israeli civilians attempted to cross from the Mount Hermon area into Syrian territory overnight.
IDF troops stopped and detained the group before transferring them to Israel Police. The IDF said this follows several similar incidents in recent days, warning that such actions are criminal offenses that endanger civilians, disrupt operational activity, divert commanders and soldiers from their missions, and should be prosecuted.
๐ธ President Trump moves to remove Syria from terrorism list: President Trump formally notified Congress of his decision to rescind Syria's designation as a state sponsor of terrorism, according to Reuters.
The move begins a mandatory 45-day congressional review period before the rescission can take effect.
๐ก๏ธ Greece opposes possible Turkish F-35 sale: Greek Defense Minister Nikos Dendias said: "We will try our best to prevent the sale of F-35 aircraft to Turkey."
Prime Minister Netanyahu added: "Maintaining our air superiority is a cornerstone of our national security and a key to preserving stability in the Middle East."
๐ฎ๐ฑ Route 10 reopening through August: The IDF announced that Route 10 along the Egyptian border in the Paran Regional Brigade sector will reopen Thursdays through Saturdays, 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM, through August 29, between Bar-Lev Lookout and the 10/12 checkpoint.
Exceptions are July 16 and July 23, when the route will open only on Friday and Saturday. Entry requires a valid ID and registration at the entrance, with no advance coordination needed.
The IDF noted that live-fire training will continue throughout the weekends in southern and northern Israel. Live-fire zones in southern Israel remain closed to hikers and visitors, and the public is asked not to enter restricted areas to allow security forces to carry out their missions.
โ๏ธ Arkia resumes direct flights to Marrakesh: Arkia will resume direct flights between Israel and Marrakesh beginning August 24 after a three-year suspension caused by wartime disruptions.
Flights will operate twice weekly on Mondays and Wednesdays using Airbus A320 aircraft. One-way fares will start at $329. Israeli passport holders are required to obtain a visa before traveling to Morocco. Flights will arrive at Marrakesh Menara Airport, approximately six kilometers from the city center.
