🛰️ CHANNEL 13: ISRAEL TRAINED THOUSANDS OF KURDISH FIGHTERS FOR IRAN PLAN: Israel trained thousands of Kurdish fighters as part of a plan aimed at overthrowing the Iranian government, according to Israel's Channel 13.
The report said thousands of Kurdish fighters arrived in Israel and trained for various operational scenarios. The planned operation was halted shortly after the outbreak of the latest war with Iran. According to Channel 13, three days after the war began, a message arrived from the White House instructing Israel to stop the Kurdish operation. An Israeli official described the message as: "Three days after the campaign began, we received Don't."
⚖️ GIVATI SOLDIERS JAILED AFTER REFUSING NAMER MISSION WITH FEMALE PARAMEDIC: The dispute involved religious soldiers from the Givati Brigade's Rotem Battalion during an operational mission in Gaza that required troops to travel in a Namer armored personnel carrier with a female paramedic.
According to reports on the incident, the company commander told the soldiers the mission was important and urgent, and the Givati Brigade rabbi permitted the mission to proceed with the female paramedic because of its operational importance. The soldiers had also sought guidance from rabbis outside the military and maintained that boarding under those conditions conflicted with the IDF's Joint Service Order and their religious requirements. The mission was ultimately canceled after the soldiers refused to participate.
The IDF has said the Joint Service Order generally entitles religious soldiers to operational service in a gender-segregated framework, except in exceptional circumstances.
Earlier reporting cited four soldiers who refused to board the Namer as receiving 10 days in jail, with three others who supported them receiving five days and additional disciplinary proceedings still underway. A subsequent IDF account gave updated totals, saying 16 soldiers were sentenced: five who led the refusal received 10 days in military jail, while 11 others received five days. Two of the five will also face an evaluation committee before being permitted to return to combat duty.
Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich backed the soldiers, saying: “I support the Givati soldiers who insisted on their right and duty to serve in the IDF while upholding their values and beliefs and adhering to the IDF’s Proper Integration regulations. The soldiers have the full backing of the rabbis and administrators of the Hesder Yeshiva Association, who examined the matter thoroughly and with due care and stand behind the decision. I prayed and fervently hoped that the IDF would come to its senses and avoid the need for my intervention, but since that did not happen—as a leader of Religious Zionism, I cannot sit idly by, and I will demand answers from the IDF on this matter.”
