š”ļø AOUN SETS LEBANON CONDITIONS AS ISRAEL ELIMINATES SENIOR HAMAS COMMANDERS
š±š§ Aoun will reportedly reject any Syrian military or security role, insist that Hezbollahās disarmament be handled solely through Lebanese state institutions, and demand increased assistance for the Lebanese army.
He will also seek to keep the U.S.-Iran conflict separate from Lebanese-Israeli negotiations to prevent Lebanon from being drawn into a wider regional war.
Lebanese sources accused Israel of delaying its withdrawal and attempting to undermine the framework agreement. Aoun is reportedly relying on continued American pressure to prevent renewed Israeli-Iranian fighting.
The initiative follows direct Lebanese-Israeli negotiations that drew fierce opposition from Hezbollah and its political allies. ā RIFLE GRENADES SEIZED ON SYRIA-LEBANON BORDER: Syrian customs officials seized 226 RGC-type rifle grenades, designed for use with grenade launchers, concealed inside hidden compartments of a vehicle attempting to enter Lebanon through the New Yabous border crossing.
The shipment was likely intended for Hezbollah.
šÆ HAMAS GAZA CITY BRIGADE OPERATIONS CHIEF ELIMINATED: The IDF and Israel Security Agency (Shin Bet) eliminated Adham Ibrahim Sha'aban Nasman, head of the Operations Department of Hamasā Gaza City Brigade, in a strike in Gaza City over the weekend.
Nasman commanded and directed the infiltration into Israeli territory by Gaza City Brigade terrorists during the October 7th Massacre. He also participated in holding numerous hostages captive, including Romi Gonen, Emily Damari, Ziv and Gali Berman, Eitan Mor, Matan Angrest, and Omri Miran.
Nasman previously served as a Nukhba battalion commander, intelligence officer of the Gaza City Brigade, and commander of the Al-Shati Battalion. In these positions, he was responsible for planning and executing numerous terrorist attacks against IDF forces and the State of Israel.
In recent months, Nasman trained and prepared Gaza City Brigade terrorists and advanced the production and distribution of weapons to the brigadeās battalions. These activities were part of efforts to rebuild Hamasā military capabilities in violation of the ceasefire agreement.
šÆ HAMAS COMMANDER INVOLVED IN NIR OZ ABDUCTIONS ELIMINATED: The IDF eliminated Asma Kamal Shehadeh Abu Tim, a cell commander in Hamasā military wing, in a strike in the southern Gaza Strip on Sunday.
Abu Tim infiltrated Kibbutz Nir Oz during the October 7th Massacre and participated in the abduction of Nurit Cooper, Amiram Cooper, and Alexander Dancyg.
Throughout the war and in recent months, Abu Tim advanced terrorist attacks targeting IDF forces and Israeli civilians.
ā ļø HAMAS SAYS NEW LEADER SIGNALS CONTINUED āRESISTANCEā: Hamas leader Osama Hamdan said the election of Khalil al-Hayya as the terrorist organizationās new leader demonstrates the āmovement's vitality and commitment to resistance,ā signaling that Hamas will continue its current approach regardless of changes in leadership.
Hamdan told Al-Mayadeen that al-Hayya possesses extensive experience, understands the organizationās internal affairs, and was central to negotiations, āserving efforts to end the war of extermination on the Gaza Strip.ā
He also claimed that Hamas succeeded in formulating a comprehensive Palestinian national position despite the Palestinian Authority falling behind.
